She is known as "Mother of the flock" 

Kay began this journey out of her car 10 years ago.

She purchased Wings Rescue Center's property with one building that served as an office, hospital and rehab facility. 

Ten years later she has turned it into her dream. We now have a small bird and shore bird hospital, raptor hospital, an education center, 23 outdoor rehab pens with two flight cages, seven education birds, a hurricane shelter and two resident houses.
